We're all broken enough to be humble.

i felt a little sad after reading this.. i guess this is something almost everyone can identify with..even if it isnt the entire passage, at least some parts of it. fundamentally we are all the same, we have our flaws and we're all, simply, broken enough to be humble. we feel small sometimes, and thats why we always need smth bigger or larger to cling to. im so glad i have one Big God to cling on to, always =p

Lastly, smth to share..i nv knew what brokenness before God really meant, until recently. =))

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. (Psalm 51:17)

True Brokenness is when:
# Self-dependency gives way to a heart that is overwhelmed with a sense of its own spiritual need
# There is a sense of being teachable – where one is not ‘close-minded’ or stubborn # There is a sense of sincerity when we come before God
# The heart is soft and easily penetrated by the Lord
# There is the absence of pride – all ideas of our own importance is gone
# There is the rending of the heart – it is a mourning, not just a mere regret over sin
# There is recognition and embracing of our powerlessness before God
# When we find ourselves responding in humility and complete
repentance
# When we give up our personal rights and selfish interests to God, and
make him the custodian of our rights

so difficult sometimes, or rather, most of the time. but teach me to be broken before you pls!!

and its back to sch, once again. its the final year of academia alreadyy, will treasure my remaining time as a student. hehe jia you ml!
